Grand Banks Yachts Comes to Lauderdale with New Boats, Big News All-new 55 Eastbay SX takes center stage for GB display at 2007 boat show.
|
SEATTLE – September 25, 2007 –
Following an introductory tour at boat shows in the Northeast this fall, Grand Banks' new 55 Eastbay SX will make its big-stage debut next month at the 2007 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Visitors at last week's Norwalk show gave the all-new Down East cruiser - successor to the Company's much-acclaimed 54SX - top marks for the new design. Highlights include a larger salon with power sunroof, a generous new mid-ship master cabin, and layout options that include three staterooms and a unique galley-up arrangement.
"The 55SX really captures the spirit of today's Eastbay Series, with more space, style and sophistication," said GB Marketing Director David Hensel. "She's fast, too - over 30 knots - and with that Ray Hunt hull the 55SX is really a solid, surefooted thoroughbred."
Grand Banks is also attracting buyers to the Lauderdale show looking to learn more about its remarkable new 41 Heritage EU. The Company made quite a splash last month when it announced the new design, which will be powered by the new Zeus propulsion system from Cummins MerCruiser Diesel.
Scheduled for launch in the second half of 2008, the 41EU is already a hot topic among boaters and the boating media alike. The all-new design displays the same timeless lines and distinctive "Europa" styling that have made earlier models a worldwide favorite for more than 40 years.
But the pod-drive system - in addition to its resin-infusion construction, modified deep-V hull design and other innovative features - reflect Grand Banks' commitment to progress and improvement.
The 41EU represents a new step in the evolution of Grand Banks' iconic Heritage Series. The Company launched its newest generation of trawler-style yachts recently with the 47EU and 47CL, also on display at Lauderdale this year.
Featuring a modified deep-V hull, 25-knot top speeds and completely restyled interiors, the two 47 Heritage models have quickly won a strong following among boaters around the globe.
"It's a wonderful testament to both the quality and versatility of these boats," Mr. Hensel said of the Company's broad-based success with these new yachts. "The speed and style and luxury may distinguish today's Heritage Series from earlier Grand Banks, but they're proving to be just as popular. We're proud to come to Lauderdale in 2007 with such a strong lineup of new models. And such exciting news about future ones, too."
