Cummins MerCruiser Diesel Teams with Grand Banks for Alaska Cruise Event
Grand Banks prepares to launch "Grand Tour 2006" with CMD as top sponsor

SEATTLE – April 17, 2006 –
Grand Banks Yachts today named Cummins MerCruiser Diesel (CMD) as lead sponsor of the "Grand Tour", Grand Banks' 50th anniversary cruising event to Alaska.
"We're proud to be the platinum sponsor for this milestone event," said Scott Patrohay, CMD President. "Grand Banks customers have a confidence level in their yachts and CMD diesel engines that permits this kind of cruise experience."
"Grand Tour 2006: Inside Passage" is a remarkable three-week cruising event organized by Grand Banks Yachts as part of the company's 50-year anniversary celebration. GB Owners from across the country and around the world will meet at the Canadian Gulf Islands in mid-May to begin their journey together up the celebrated Inside Passage to Alaska. More than fifteen boats will participate, including both new yachts and rare models from Grand Banks storied past.
Grand Banks CEO Bob Livingston was pleased to have CMD come aboard as top sponsor for the event. "Grand Banks offers a wide range of Cummins engines in many of our boats. Grand Banks owners and enthusiasts not able to make the journey themselves can still partake in an online "Virtual Tour" at the Grand Tour web site, www.grandbanks.com/grandtour. Cruise updates from each port of call, along with photos and comments from Tour participants, will be posted each day to the site. Visitors can follow along with the "Log Blog" starting May 15, until the group reaches Wrangell, Alaska in early June.
