Grand Banks Yachts Launches 70-foot Aleutian CP This Month in Ft. Lauderdale
Hull #1 prepares to take center stage for Grand Banks at the 2004 International Boat Show.

Seattle, WA – October. 7, 2004 – Attendees at the 2004 Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show will have the unique opportunity to tour the largest, and most luxurious yacht in the Grand Banks Aleutian Series. The company today announced its plans to kick off the event with the christening of Hull #1 in the 70-foot Aleutian CP series, one of several Grand Banks models expected to appear at this year’s show.
Reaching upwards of 27 knots during sea trials, the 70 Aleutian CP cruises swiftly in style. Its gracious accommodations include three private staterooms, four heads, additional crew’s quarters, plus an expansive aft cockpit that sets a beautiful stage for on-board entertaining.
The 70CP was built on the acclaimed Tom Fexas-designed hull Grand Banks first introduced with the 64-foot Aleutian. With its distinctive flared bow keeping topsides dry and comfortable, the hull is built to the highest FRP standards to be stable and safe in all sea conditions.

The 70 Aleutian CP arrived stateside last month for commissioning in Seabrook, Texas, and will be brought to Ft. Lauderdale in October. Other models expected to appear at the show include the new Grand Banks 58 Eastbay FB, Grand Banks 54 Eastbay SX, Grand Banks 64 Aleutian, Grand Banks 42 Classic, and the popular Grand Banks 43 Eastbay HX.
