Grand Banks 47 Eastbay FB appeals to active couples and families

47FB Press Kit Seattle, WA – March 18, 2004 – Grand Banks 47 Eastbay FB appeals to active couples and families

Luxurious cruising comfort, 47-feet of precision craftsmanship, and 30+ knot top speeds will greet owners of the all-new Grand Banks 47 Eastbay FB. Designed for speedy getaways as well as long-range cruising comfort, this new Grand Banks offers something for everyone. Sports fisherman and cruising enthusiasts will find equal amounts comfort and enjoyment in the handling and handsome lines of this latest yacht from Grand Banks.

Scheduled for arrival in July 2004, its high-quality hull design sports cruising speeds in the mid-20-knot range, but its story is not just about performance.

Built to the exacting standards that Grand Banks owners have known for decades, this flybridge model offers elegant styling, generous standard amenities and comfortable accommodations. Throughout the yacht, finely milled wood work, cedar-lined hanging lockers, chrome fittings, crown molding, and seamless Corian® countertops underline many of the finer details one expects in a Grand Banks-built boat. A graceful staircase to the flybridge curves gently up from the cockpit, marking yet another design choice that is at once elegant and practical.

Inside, the standard layout features a queen-size island berth with en suite head and a smartly furnished U-galley to port. The VIP stateroom and head face opposite the galley, and finish off the lower accommodations deck. On the main level, a generous, enclosed salon offers comfortable settee seating, a premium Stidd® helmseat, and panoramic views for its guests and captain alike.

A prized optional layout features an office that faces opposite the down-galley. Easily converting into a private double stateroom, this modular concept grants owners the flexibility to suit a wide variety of needs. Additional options include twin engine power up to (2x) 720 horsepower powerplants, giving the boat an estimated top speed exceeding 30 knots.

Grand Banks' Vice-President of Sales, Neil McCurdy, is excited about the new addition to the already successful Eastbay Series. "With a generous supply of standard equipment, Grand Banks has eliminated the 'bait and switch' from boat-buying," says McCurdy. "With the all-new 47 Eastbay FB, Grand Banks provides owners the freedom and luxury of a well-equipped yacht in a size manageable for active couples and families."
