Grand Banks Brings Big Lineup to Miami
Event Marks North American Boat Show Debut of New 65 Aleutian RP

MIAMI, FL – February 12, 2009 – Riding a recent surge that includes the successful launch of its breakthrough 41 Heritage EU model, Grand Banks Yachts today kicked off the 2009 Miami International Boat Show with a strong lineup of boats in each of its Heritage, Eastbay and Aleutian Series.

"We're enthusiastic about what we've seen since the start of the new year, giving us some great momentum going into this show," said Neil McCurdy, VP of Sales and Service at Grand Banks. "The sales generated by the European debut of our 41EU at Boot Düsseldorf last month were better than expected. Our dealers said it was the strongest turnout of serious buyers they've seen there in years."

The all-new 41 Heritage EU, powered by the Zeus propulsion system from Cummins MerCruiser Diesel, is also on display at Miami - part of a Grand Banks lineup that is the company's biggest ever at this show. Other models include the 47 Heritage EU, 45 Eastbay SX, 55 Eastbay SX, 59 Aleutian RP, and the new 65 Aleutian RP.

This year's event marks the North American boat show debut of the 65RP, successor to the 64-foot model that launched the Aleutian Series of raised-pilothouse yachts in 2001. Grand Banks refreshed and restyled the original design with this new model, adding foot of length and a long list of new features.

New layouts provide more and better options for living and entertaining. A more spacious aft deck features dual wing doors and a new enclosure that protects the outside dining area from harsh weather, while opening easily to let in the sun. The 65RP also features port and starboard-side pilothouse doors, easier engine room access through a new port-side door, and a host of other performance and luxury features.

Throughout the 65RP, Grand Banks has also introduced a sophisticated new styling to the Aleutian Series. It introduced many contemporary and Asian influences to the décor and furnishings, while remaining grounded in Grand Banks traditional nautical sensibility.

What has not changed is her top-performing Fexas-designed hull, highly acclaimed for its stability, safety, and comfort when cruising in open waters. With engine options up to twin 1,000-horsepower diesels, the 65RP is also capable of an impressive 24-knot top speed.

Together with 59- and 72-foot models, this new 65RP has contributed to making the Aleutian Series a growing segment of production for Grand Banks Yachts. "The Aleutian Series continues to sell strongly for us across the world." said McCurdy. "Buyers have responded very positively to the superior level of quality, comfort and performance these yachts provide."
