After over 50 years with GB, famed engineer “YP” Wong decides to open the next chapter in his life ... sort of. We would like to share sentiments of some of the people who knew and worked with Y.P during his many years at GB: From Bruce Livingston, Production Director: “I have known many boat builders over the years, and Y.P. has always been my favorite, bar none. Since we first met back in 1993, when I was at GB doing the Little Harbor project, he has always impressed with the depth and scope of his knowledge. But what impresses most is his prodigious memory! He can recall details on boats and equipment from years back. And he has always been willing to commit his time and energy to GB, to customers, but most of all to his many colleagues and co-workers. Even today, in his ‘retirement,’ he is always willing to spend the extra time to help with drawings and information—but most importantly, with ideas.”
